The present invention relates to a rotary probe device for a shape measurement machine. In the rotary probe device for the shape measurement machine formed to measure a shape of a plate by a probe device, a motor installation member is installed in a moving body moving up and down along a vertical guide rail, a servo motor is installed in the motor installation member, and a probe rotated by the servo motor is coupled to a driving shaft of the servo motor such that a stylus provided in a front end portion of the probe is rotated by the servo motor. A contact part is formed in a front end portion of the stylus provided in the probe. In the contact part, a truncated conic upper slope measurement portion is formed above a cylindrical plane measurement portion, and a truncated conic lower slope measurement portion is formed below the plane measurement portion. In the present invention, since the probe is rotated by the servo motor, the probe may be rotated to the servo motor in accordance with a side position of the plate; and an extending line between a contact point of the contact part of the stylus provided in the probe and a center of the contact part may maintain normal in each side portion of the plate. As such, regardless of a position with which the contact part of the stylus is brought into contact, a contact pressure is uniform, facilitating measurement of a shape of the plate. In addition, since the contact part of the stylus of the probe is configured such that the truncated conic upper slope measurement portion and the truncated conic lower slop measurement portion are formed above and below the cylindrical plane measurement portion, chamfered shapes of an upper and a lower corner portion on the side are able to easily be measured. |
