PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject liquid agent effective for preventing the precipitation of a component in the case of lowering the pH of a liquid agent compounded with a crude drug and exhibiting sufficiently high antiseptic effect by compounding a polyvinylpyrrolidone and ethyl p-oxybenzoate. SOLUTION: The objective liquid agent is produced by compounding (A) a crude drug, (B) a polyvinylpyrrolidone and (C) ethyl p-oxybenzoate and adjusting the pH to 2.0-4.0. Preferably, the component A is e.g. a dried SHIGOKA (crude drug) extract and the component B has an average molecular weight of 40,000-1,200,000. The concentration of the component B is about 0.5-2%(w/v) based on the liquid agent for internal use, the compounding amount of the component C is 0.001-0.03%(w/v) and an organic acid such as citric acid is used as a pH-modifier. |
