PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antimycin-A group compound mixture that contains antimycins A5 and A6 in their total quantity of a half or more of the mixture and is useful for researches on physiological activity, etc. SOLUTION: This antimycin-A group compound mixture, which contains a plurality of compounds of antimycin A group, comprises at least one selected from a group consisting of antimycin A5 of formula I (R1 is sea-butyl or isobutyl), antimycin A6 of formula II (R2 is n-propyl or isopropyl) and their salts in their total quantity of 50mol% or more based on the whole quantity of the mixture, which is preferably obtained as a metabolic product produced by Streptomyces sp. POL-129 strains. |
