The hinge for the articulated and separable junction of two adjacent wing panels (1,2) of a sectional door is provided with an upper profile strip (3) which is arranged on the upper longtitudinal edge of one wing panel (1) and which has a longtitudinal bead (4) with an essentially cylindrical outer surface (4a). The longtitudinal bead (4) is partially surrounded at a radial distance by an outer shell (8). A lower profile strip (5) arranged on the lower longtitudinal edge of one wing panel (2) has a bearing shell (6) open on one side, which partially surrounds the longtitudinal bead (4) concentrically and which is mounted rotatably on the longtitudinal bead (4). Adjacent to the cylindrical outer surface (6b) of the bearing shell (6) is a channel (10) which is concentric to the bead axis (A) and in which the outer shell (8) penetrates. The channel (10) is limited relative to the outside of the wing panel by a shell portion (11) which is concentric to the bead axis (A) and surrounds the cylindrical outer surface (8b) of the outer shell (8) at a short distance and the lower end of which terminates in a nose (13) directed downwards. The outer shell (8) and the channel (10) extend upwards over at least 65@ from a horizontal plane (H-H) passing through the bead axis (A). The nose (13) is arranged approximately level with the horizontal plane (H-H). The cylindrical outer surface (8b) of the outer shell (8) is arranged, in the region of the nose (13), in the vicinity of the outside of the wing panel. <IMAGE> |
