PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the lubricating performance of raw material powder for powder metallurgy at the time of filling into a die and at the time of compacting, to improve the density of a compacted body and its strength and to prevent the contamination of a sintering furnace caused by a vaporized gas at the time of heating the compacted body by using a powdery mixture of higher fatty acid lithium, higher fatty acid zinc and higher fatty acid bisamide as a lubricant. SOLUTION: The compsn. of a lubricant is composed of, by weight, 10 to 60% higher fatty acid lithium, 0 to 40% higher fatty acid zinc and 40 to 90% higher fatty acid bisamide, and the total of the higher fatty acid lithium and the higher fatty acid zinc is regulated to 10 to 60%. Furthermore, the higher fatty acid lithium, zinc and bisamide groups to be used are composed of one or more kinds of saturated or unsaturated fatty acid of 12-28 carbon atoms in all cases. |
