PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject compound containing specific fluorine-containing oxyalkylene units and fluorine-free oxyalkylene units in the molecule, exhibiting a high volume resistivity, and capable of expressing excellent compatibility with cooling media and excellent hydrolysis resistance. SOLUTION: This fluorine-containing polyoxyalkylene compound has (A) units for formula I (R<1> , R<2> are each H, a 1-6C alkyl; R<3> is H, pheny, a 1-8C alkyl; R<f> is a fluorine-containing 2-18C alkyl) and (B) units of formula II in the molecule, e.g. a compound of formula III [R<5> is H, a 1-8C alkyl, a residue obtained by removing an OH group from a 2-18C organic carboxylic acid; (k) is 1-12; R<4> is a residue obtained by removing H from the OH of a compound having OH groups to the number of 1-k; (m), (n) are each 1-100]. The compound is obtained e.g. by reacting a polyoxyalkylene compound having the units B with a fluorine-containing 2-18C olefin in the presence of a radical polymerization initiator. The compound is preferably used as a lubricant for freezers. |
