<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an inexpensive, high-quality and high-purity zinc by which the contamination with impurity elements is prevented in the production process. SOLUTION: The total content of hydrogen, nitrogen, carbon and >=0.1ppm impurity elements other than oxygen analytically detected is controlled to <=1ppm in this high-purity zinc. The high-purity zinc is produced by using an electrolyte refined by adding powdered zinc in the amt. of 1/100 of the zinc content in the original electrolyte, using a DSE electrode as the anode and a zinc plate as the cathode and collecting the high-purity zinc by electrodeposition.</p> |
