PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To absorb a switching time between a color mode and a black monochromatic mode and to prevent a throughput from being lowered by judging whether a color exists on an original or not and changing the assignment of image data to plural delay memories. SOLUTION: By the delay part of an image processing part, the binary image signals of C, M, Y and K are written in the incorporated FIFO memory. By FIFO controllers 401-404 with respect to the respective image signals of Y, M, C and K, an address signal is generated with respect to a memory controller 419. By the controller 419, the unused memories 123K1-125K3 of a K color are assigned to the controllers 401-403 in the case of small size that time required for passing a recording paper with respect to an image forming part is sufficiently short and the image data of the K color is sufficiently stored in the memory 122K and in the case that the set of the mode is switched to the color mode from the black monochromatic mode. |
