<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method for generating a virtual pointing device on a touch screen by including a step for judging whether or not one measurement of at least the first part of a hand arranged on the touch screen is made substantially coincident with the existing measurement stored in a memory or the like. SOLUTION: When a touch screen 200 detects more than one similar patterns of a hand or a finger, an operating system(OS) tries to identify a user. Therefore, the OS measures distances from a palmprint area 210 to each fingerprint areas 215, 220, 230, and 240 with the X and Y coordinates of the palmprint area 210 and the X and Y limits of the palm area 210. Then, when the OS judges that the coincidence is within an acceptable tolerance already defined by the user, the OS reads an already defined customizing mechanism from a user file, and produces a virtual pointing device under the hand positioned on the touch screen 200 by using the customizing mechanism.</p> |
