PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To built up the DVB system in which a characteristic of the SDDI format is utilized. SOLUTION: Data processing sections 101-1 -101-n process data DV, VA to obtain data DTS1-DTSn for a transport packet of an MPEG2-TS, insert them to a payload part PAD of transmission data adopting the SDDI format and convert the transmission data into serial signals TS1-TSn at a rate of 270Mbps. The serial signals TS1-TSn are fed to a multiplexer section 110, from which transmission data adopting the SDDI format are obtained, where the data DTS1- DTSn are inserted to the payload parts PAD without duplication. In this case, the 2<8> -th bit is set to '0' at the inserted bit location of 1-188 bytes being the valid part of the data DTS1-DTSn. Modulation processing or the like is applied to the transmission data whose payload parts PAD are inserted with the data DTS1-DTSn and the resulting data are sent to a transmission channel via a transmission section 113. |
