PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device constituted so that carrier is surely prevented from being attached to a non-image part. SOLUTION: In an image forming process, the surface of a photoreceptor is uniformly exposed by an optical write means exposing light corresponding to an image after it is uniformly electrostatically charged to Vh by an electrostatic charger. At this time, the surface of the photoreceptor becomes identical to bias potential Vb. That means, the full surface lateral lader latent image of 21p/mm is formed on a photoreceptor drum by the exposure corresponding to the image by the intensity of -400V. At this time, toner is not developed on the photoreceptor by such potential difference and the carrier is attracted to the photoreceptor by cleaning potential (difference between the surface potential Vh of the photoreceptor and the bias potential Vb of a developer carrier). In this case, a transfer process is not executed and a recording paper is not also carried. Besides, the carrier attached to the photoreceptor by the rotational movement of the photoreceptor is eliminated from the photoreceptor by a cleaner.
