TWO COMPONENT DEVELOPING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an image without any density unevenness by forming two component developing agent attracted and held by a developing agent carrier in thin layer. SOLUTION: This two component developing device has a static latent image carrier 1 on which the static latent image is formed and a developing agent carrier 6 which comprises a toner 2 and a magnetic carrier 3 for attracting and holding the tow component developing agent 4 by magnetic force and carrying it to a developing area opposite to the static latent image carrier 1 and a doctor blade 10 restraining layer thickness of the two component developing agent 4 attracted and held on the developing agent carrier 6. In this case, an elastic layer 9b for covering an outer periphery of the developing agent carrier 6 is mounted and volume characteristic resistance of the elastic layer 9b is set higher than that of the magnetic carrier 3. Thereby, this elastic layer 9b can be formed very soft and the elastic layer 9b is made in compressed state at restraining of layer thickness of the two component developing agent 4 by the doctor blade 10 and at developing and development without any density unevenness can be performed by the thin layer two component developing agent 4.
