VARIABLE CAPACITOR AND LC COMPOSITE DEVICE EMPLOYING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable capacitor excellent in the stability of a rotor or an LC composite device, which is excellent in shield effect and dustproofness and can be reduced in size using such a variable capacitor. SOLUTION: Two stator side electrodes are formed on the upper major surface of a substrate 27 while spacing apart from each other and a dielectric rotor 40 is disposed to touch these stator side electrodes and then a rotor side electrode is formed thereon. An adjusting member 44 is provided rotatably with respect to the substrate 27 and a skirt part 46 formed thereat is brought into contact with the substrate 27. The rotor 40 is contained in the skirt part 46 and an O-ring 51 is placed between the rotor 40 and the adjusting member 44 thus sustaining the contacting state between the rotor 40 and the substrate 27. The substrate 27 is fixed with a shield cover 54 provided with an opening 55 for exposing an adjusting groove 48 so that the adjusting member 44 and a coil 23 are contained.
