<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability of a foot pedal which ensures the prevention of the deflection in the lateral direction of strut parts at the time of treading operation and averts the misalignment of turning shafts and the exertion of an adverse influence on bearings by connecting the parts near the turning shafts of the two strut parts to each other by a spacing member. SOLUTION: This foot pedal is provided with the spacing member 23 for connecting the parts near the top ends of the two strut parts 2B, 2B to each other. This spacing member 23 is formed integrally with a pedal frame 2 or after the member is separately formed, the member is fixed by welding, set screw, etc. The position nearer the top end where the strut parts 2B are liable to deflect is more preferable as the position to be provided with the spacing member 23. The lower parts of bearing parts 8, 8 for this purpose are connected to each other and are positioned within the turning region of a locker 9. The surface of the locker 9 facing the spacing member 23 is provided with a notched groove for preventing the contact of both members. This notched groove is formed as an arced groove centering at the axial center of the turning shafts 6.</p> |
