It is proposed to use the electrical conduction of certain parts of pneumatic tyres to transmit signals to an integrated circuit 15 buried in the thickness of a pneumatic tyre 1, and not only the inductive or capacitive couplings. To this end, the integrated circuit 15 is galvanically connected, via the wires 16 and 17, to elements made of conducting rubber, for example, a protector 11 and the tread 13. It is then sufficient for the electrodes 21A and 21B to come into direct electrical contact with these elements to provide for the transfer of electrical signals.
