<p>A negatively charged liquid developer comprises a mixture of a two thermoplastic resins with dissimilar melt indexes. The melt index of the first resin is 50-800 g, and the melt index of the second resin is 850-2500 g. The developer further comprises a charge control agent comprising a component of formula (I) or (II), where R1= H or alkyl; and n = 0 - 4. The developer further comprises a pigment, charge director, and optional charge adjuvant. Also claimed are (i) an imaging method comprising forming an electrostatic latent image followed by the development of it with the liquid developer; and (ii) preparation of the liquid developer with improved fixing characteristics comprising heating the above mixed ingredients, and cooling the mixture.</p> |
