<p>The mono-block battery of accumulators consists of a casing (1) consisting of a container (2) and a cover (3). The cover carries the positive (6) and negative (7) terminals. The container has side walls and a base made of material approximately 2mm thick, and is divided into five compartments (9) delimited by internal walls (12). The pieces of the container are formed by pressure injection moulding at a temperature between 240 and 290 degrees C, and subsequently joined by direct contact and fusion. The casing is formed from a matrix of polymer materials, the exact proportion of the mixture being varied to achieve specific physical properties for the material. The selection is based on permeability to hydrogen, electrical insulation and modulus of flexion.</p> |
