PURPOSE:To clear jam by providing a jam detecting means for detecting the occurrence of jam based on a jam timer value and a jam message indicating means and removing only a jammed sheet of paper according to the jam message in the whole copy mode and a pitch dividing number. CONSTITUTION:A control means A sets a defined jam timer value on a jam detecting means 33b from a memory means 33a based on a copy mode and the pitch dividing number of a panel. After that, the jam detecting means detects the occurrence of jam based on the set jam timer value and outputs a jam detecting signal. The jam detecting signal is inputted into the control means, and the off-timer value of a defined motor is inputted from a memory means 34a based on the copy mode and the pitch dividing number of the panel. The stopping control of the motor is carried out based on this off-timer value to stop the following sheet of paper or other sheets of paper in a position of not spreading over the portion between slide units. Further, a jam message is indicated by an indicating means. |
