PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phase varied light recording medium wherein a margin for design and manufacture is wide, and all of mark length recording performance, L/G recording performance, and excellent recording power margin can be satisfied. SOLUTION: For a phase varied light recording medium having a phase varied light recording layer 3 and a semitransparent layer 5 having a function adjusting a light absorption factor in a crystal part and an amorphous part of the phase varied light recording layer, the semitransparent layer 5 is composed of a composite material of a structure wherein particles 51 comprising at least one kind selected from the group consisting of metals, semiconductors, semimetals, and alloys thereof are dispersed in a parent material 52 comprising at least one kind selected from the group consisting of oxides, nitrides, carbides, borides, fluorides, sulfides, carbon, boron, and organic matter. |
