The exhaust gas recirculation device is for an internal combustion engine with at least two inlet valves for each combustion chamber controlling inlet channels, of which one opens earlier than the other. There is an induction distributor with individual lines to supply combustion air to each combustion chamber. There is a separate individual line (34,36) to connect the earlier-opening inlet valve (18) to an exhaust gas store (38). This line is separated from the other inlet valve (20). The exhaust gas store may be connected by at least one connecting line (40) to the induction distributor (28).
