Adjustable seat for road vehicle

The seat is used in a road vehicle and includes a carrying frame (14). There is a frame (12) for the backrest with transverse pins (38,44) which slide in slots (22,24) in the two side-frames (10) of the seat. The support frame also has pins (40,46), which engage in slots (22,26) in the side-frames. The side frames are L-shaped with the longer arm of the L running parallel to the backrest of the seat. There is a set of teeth (48) which may be engaged by a pawl to fix the position of the adjustable seat.
