The present invention relates to an instrument panel (dashboard, fascia), especially for motor vehicles, of the type comprising a casing (100) which carries a dial (200) including translucent zones, a part (300) formed by a generally flat plate made of optically transparent material, placed behind the dial (200), and a printed circuit wafer (400) which carries various electronic elements, such as drive elements (520), on its rear face and is placed in position substantially attached on the rear of the optical part (300), characterised in that the part formed by a generally flat plate made of optically transparent material constitutes an optical part (300) used as a light guide, and the optical part (300) includes, on its rear face, at least in certain chosen regions, a reflector/diffuser element (340).
