The method involves communicating data between a receiver, a usage protection controller and at least one operational controller. Data sent from the central office defines the usage limitations for the vehicle, and the usage protection controller checks the overriding of a usage limitation. If there is an overriding of a usage limitation, at least one controller will go out of operation.
