A split-boom power tool (10) includes a housing (14) adapted to carry a battery or motor. A first boom member (16) connected to the housing (14) includes an electromechanical or mechanical joint (20) (i.e., coupling) connected thereto for receiving a second boom member (50), which carries an attachment.
