PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoelectric material, which can display high thermoelectric performance even under high temperature. SOLUTION: In a thermoelectric material 1, a plurality of conducting layers 3 comprising only first semiconductors s1 and a plurality of barrier layers 4 comprising only second semiconductors s2 having the material quality different from that of the first semiconductors s1 are alternately arranged so as to form the layer, and a dispersion preventing layer 5 is provided between the neighboring conducting layer 3 and barrier layer 4. Thus, the dispersion between the conducting layer 3 and the barrier layer 4 under high temperature can be prevented.
