<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved device for terminating a metal shield of a high speed transmission cable to a terminating member such as an earthing plate. SOLUTION: A terminal 38 having an outer jacket 58 and an inner metal shield 56, and terminating the shield 56 of a high speed transmission cable 40 in which part of the outer jacket 58 is removed in order to expose part of the metal shield 56 is arranged. The terminal 38 includes an earthing plate 32. Loops 46a, 46b for accepting the cable 40 in the position along the cable 40, standing in a line with the metal shield 56 in which the cable 40 is exposed are projected from the earthing plate 32. The metal shield 56 and the loop 46a, and the metal shield 56 and the loop 46b are connected by soldering.</p> |
