PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of scorch on a heat generating body while contriving the improvement of a discharging efficiency as well as a discharging pressure by a method wherein an energy, inputted to the heat generating body, is set so as to be lower than a normal inputted energy when the mixing of a liquid in a first liquid flow passage side into a liquid in a second liquid flow passage side is presumed. SOLUTION: When a volume W of bubbles above a first position of a movable member 31 is supposed to be W1 and the same of a bubble generating zone 11 side is supposed to be W2 upon installing the movable member 31, the retreating of a meniscus is stopped when the movable member 31 returns to an initial position thereof upon eliminating the bubbles and a volume of liquid corresponding to the volume of remaining W2 , is supplied from the flow VD2 in a second flow passage 16. In this case, the retreating amount of the meniscus can be restrained within about half of the smaller volume W1 . Upon high-speed refill, the flow of liquid between the area of a first liquid flow passage 14 of the discharging side and the discharging port side of a bubble generating area 11 is restricted by the movable member 31 whereby the vibration of the meniscus can be reduced very much. |
