PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently raise the temps. of an outer cylinder and the element of a metallic catalytic carrier, regarding the manufacture of the metallic catalyst carrier unit which is used for metallic catalyst converter which is mounted to purify exhaust gas on automobiles, industrial vehicles, etc.. SOLUTION: This method is constituted of a emissivity increasing stage for increasing the emissivity of the outer cylinder 21 made of metal, assembling stage for forming a unit element 29 by housing the metallic catalyst carrier 23 by alternately winding around or laminating a 1st metallic plate 25 and the 2nd metallic plate 27 on the outer cylinder 21 whose emissivity is increased and burning stage for joining by diffusion or brazing the joined part between the 1st metallic plate 25 and the 2nd metallic plate 27 of the metallic catalyst carrier element 23 as one body by burning the unit element 29 in a vacuum. |
