A three-dimensional balloon display (10) comprising a grid array comprised of at least one set of grid members (114), each set of grid members (114) having a front side and a back side. The grid members (114) are each shaped to form a compartment (12) for receipt of at least one inflated balloon (B). The compartments (12) have an interior side (116) and an exterior side (118). An inflated balloon (B) is maintained in the compartment (12) by the pneumatic pressure within the inflated balloon (B) exerted against the interior side (116) of the compartment (12) to create the three-dimensional display (10). In an alternative embodiment, a second set of grid members (110b) is aligned with the first set of grid members (110a) to create a three-dimensional compartment (146) for receipt of the inflated balloon (B). In another alternative embodiment, the grid members (210) are made of a flexible material such as polyethylene foam, nylon netting, coated steel wire, plastic or other like materials which allow for the display (10) to be curved or twisted at various angles to vary the appearance of the display (10). Sections of these flexible materials may be affixed together through the use of adhesives, clips or other attachment means. Further, the sections may be affixed to support rods or to rigid grid arrays to form an upright display (10). |
