PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To selectively and efficiently absorb/release or decompose NOx in a waste combustion gas or a gaseous mixture by producing a NOx removing body from an oxide containing at least >=2 kinds of elements selected from aluminum, titanium, zirconium. SOLUTION: The NOx removing body for decomposing and removing NOx contained in the waste combustion gas or the gaseous mixture is produced by using the oxide containing >=2 kinds of elements selected from aluminum, titanium, zirconium. The ratio of the elements is not necessarily limited, but the ratio of titanium and/or zirconium to aluminum is preferably controlled to 0.01-20. And the NOx removing body is obtained by using a compound containing nitrogen as a raw material or an additive of a raw material in a powder producing process preferably using a metallic alkoxide solution, a metallic salt solution as a starting material and firing. And the absorbed NOx is released by heating at 200-600 deg.C. |
