PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the fixed pattern noises by building a storage element into an amplifier type sold-state image-pickup element for storing the correction signals which correct the fixed pattern noises. SOLUTION: The pixel signals are outputted to a vertical signal line 5 from one of both main electrodes of a pixel MOS transistor TR 2 of the row that is selected by a vertical selection pulseϕV, outputted from a vertical-scanning circuit 3. These output pixel signals are held by a pixel signal load capacity element 8 through the break-make-break actions of a pixel signal operation switch 7. At the same time, the correction signals are outputted from the main electrode of a correction signal memory 19, where the correction value of the fixed pattern noises is written. These correction signals are held by a correction signal capacity element 17 through the break-make-break actions of a correction signal operation switch 18. These held pixel and correction signals are added together by a charge detection circuit 15 via a horizontal signal line 10, when a pixel signal horizontal switch 9 and a correction signal horizontal switch 16 conduct at a time, based on a horizontal scan pulseϕH that is received from a horizontal shift resistor 11.
