摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a hybrid vehicle which is provided with an engine and electric motor as the driving power sources from becoming incapable of running, due to the exhaustion of the energy sources. SOLUTION: The residual quantities of gasoline G and battery E are respectively detected (SA1-2 and SA1-3) and, at the same time, the residual quantity of battery E is converted into a residual quantity of gasoline GE (SA1-4) and added to the residual quantity of gasoline G (SA1-5). Then, the total residual quantity of gasoline GI (=G+GE) is displayed on an indicator (SA1-6). It is also possible, furthermore, to forcibly change the operation modes of an engine and electric motor, so that the running distance of a vehicle can be extended when the residual quantity of gasoline G, which greatly affects the running distance of a vehicle, becomes less.
