<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a crack-propagation estimation apparatus by which the progress of a crack in the penetration part of a pipe in a pressure vessel is monitored on-line and by which the penetration of the crack is estimated. SOLUTION: A crack propagation estimation apparatus 20 for a penetration pipe 3 which is passed through an upper lid 1 for a reactor vessel is provided with a pressure detector 21 and a temperature detector 23 which are arranged and installed inside the penetration pipe so as to be adjacent and with a crack propagation computing device 30 which is connected to the pressure detector 21 and the temperature detector 23 and which receives a detected pressure and a detected temperature. The crack propagation computing device 30 is provided with a crack-progress evaluation means which performs a crack-progress evaluation operation on the basis of the detected pressure, the detected temperature and residual-stress data in a manufacturing operation, with a crack-progress-amount computing means which computes a crack-progress amount on the basis of the computed result of the crack-progress evaluation means and on the basis of material-test data which is found in advance and with a means which displays the crack penetration time on the basis of the computed result of the crack-progress-amount computing means.</p> |
