PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving system for an image processing drum by which the drum is easily attached/detached and a distinct image is obtained. SOLUTION: This system is a system provided in the case K of a laser beam printer or a copier. It is equipped with at least pulleys 2 and 3 arranged on the side of a pedestal 1 provided in the case K, a tension pulley 4 arranged near the pullyes 2 and 3, a spiral tooth timing belt 5 laid over in contact with the outer surfaces of the pulleys 2, 3 and 4 and having many teeth on its outer surface side, a spiral tooth pulley 6 meshed with the belt 5 at a part other than the part between the pulleys 2 and 3 and driven by a motor, and a drum unit 7 detachably attached to the pedestal 1. When the unit 7 is attached to an appropriate position on the pedestal 1, a spiral pulley 8 connected to the drum 70 of the unit 7 is meshed with the part between the pulleys 2 and 3 in a state where the belt 5 is pushed in. |
