<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To autonomously obtain a clock of frequency needed for processing by an auxiliary processor by controlling a selecting circuit by the auxiliary processor so that a clock signal of higher frequency making possible the implementation of specific operation or control is supplied. SOLUTION: When a communication with an external device 14 becomes necessary in suspend mode, the auxiliary processor 11 controls a control register 2 so as to switch a signal selected by the selecting circuit 5 from a clock signal 106 to a clock signal of frequency meeting timing requirements of the communication processing. Consequently, the auxiliary processor 11 becomes capable of performing the communication processing and communicates with the external device 14. In this case, when the auxiliary processor 11 performs control so as to select a clock signal (e.g. clock signal 106) of minimum frequency meeting the timing requirements, the power consumption of the auxiliary processor 11 can also be minimized.</p> |
