<p>PURPOSE: To improve the quality and strength of a casted golf club head by coating a head core of low-melting metal with a predetermined aqueous constituent, forming a shell by casting molten metal whose melting point is higher than that of the low-melting metal around the head core with predetermined pressure, and removing the head core by melting it. CONSTITUTION: A zinc alloy of Sn of approximately 20 wt.% and Cu of approximately 0.5 wt.% is used as a low-melting alloy for forming a head core 13 by a die casting method. The head core 13 is coated with an aqueous constituent whose weight ratios of inorganic powder:binder: solvent is(40-80):(1-10):(10-59) and dried. Next, the head core 13 is set between the upper and lower die parts 10 and 11 of a metallic mold 1 for casting. Then molten metal 16 whose melting point is higher than that of the low-melting alloy is injected from a cylinder 14 into a cavity 12 by a piston 15 with at least 100 kg/cm<2> of pressure to form a shell around the head core 13. Next, the head core 13 is molten and removed to obtain the shell.</p> |
