PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a secondary battery electrode having its superior electrode characteristics capable of taking out mass current for a long time by disposing first and second composition activated substances close to and distance from a conductive tab on a current collector close to the conductive tab and constituting an activated substance coating portion. SOLUTION: A secondary battery electrode is composed of, for example, an activated substance coating portion of 10 cm in length and 30cm in width and a conductive tab 13 of 1cm in height and 10 cm in width, a nickel porous body (current collector) made of a punching metal of 0.1mm in thickness is disposed inside the activated substance coating portion, and the conductive tab 13 is composed of a no-porous nickel plate of 0.1mm in thickness. This activated substance coating portion is made of the first composition activated substance portion A (for example, cobalt coating activated substance containing sodium) formed close to the conductive tab 13 and the second composition active substance portion B (for example, additional additive cobalt active substance) formed distant from the tab, the weight ratio of which is 1:9 to 1:4. Thus, a secondary battery electrode for mass current usage to be used for electric vehicles or the like is obtained. |
