摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability at the time of optical communication between two electronic units in spite of the positions of infrared ray communication ports by fitting the infrared ray transfer parts of an optical cable to holders which can position the end parts of the optical cable to communication objects so that they can freely be inserted/extracted. SOLUTION: Infrared ray communication is executed by providing the end parts of the optical cable 10 for the infrared ray communication ports 20 of the two electronic units for data communication 18 through the holders 16 and the infrared ray transfer parts 12 provided for both ends. The infrared ray transfer parts 12 have the openings 26 having the same forms as the ports 20 for a rectangular cylinder 30 and the tips of the optical cable 10 are fixed to inner parts through insertion holes 28. The light entering/leaving faces 44 of the transfer parts 12 are precisely positioned to the front faces of the communication ports 30 through the holders 16 by restraining the front edge of the reception frames 48 of the holders 16 and the front edges of the transfer parts 12 by restraining pieces 34 provided on the upper faces of the transfer parts 12 in a state where they match. Thus, optical communication between the electronic units different in the arranging positions of the communication ports 20 is realized only by changing the types of the holders 16.
