PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring a component which can easily measure a nearly rectangular component which is placed on a nearly rectangular object. SOLUTION: A nearly rectangular object PR is adjusted to a reference frame BF on a screen 14a. When measuring both the size and the inclination of components, the coordinate P1 of a first corner of a nearly rectangular component CH1, the coordinate P2 of second corners of the components CH1, CH2 which are at the opposite end of a diagonal line from the first corners, and the coordinate P3 of third corners of the components CH1, CH2 are obtained. When measuring only the size of the components CH1, CH2, the coordinate P1 of the first corners of the components CH1, CH2 and the coordinate P3 of the the third corner of the component CH1 are obtained. |
