PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a video or sound natural at the time of fast forwarding, and to distribute information whose information contents can be recognized even in a short time. SOLUTION: A video server device 1 is connected through a communicating medium 2 with a terminal equipment 3 which is operated by a user. This video server device 1 is provided with a data base 4 of a detail information which preserves video or sound information or the like, and a data base 10 of outline information specially edited as the digest edition of original information for each information. When a demand for the start of viewing the information, two kinds of selection screens for the viewing are displayed on the terminal equipment 3 according to the distribution of the detail information or the outline information. A user selects which should be viewed, and transmits it to the video server device 1. The outline information is selected and viewed for the information whose content is not necessary to be audio-viewed in detail so that the content can be appropriately captured, the audio-viewing time can be shortened, and then the content can be further comfortably audio-viewed.
