PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED illuminator with no unevenness of irradiation and high brightness by simple configuration. SOLUTION: LEDs 1 are circumferentially disposed so as to face downward in a hollow cylindrical housing 2. The light emitted from the LED is made uniform with a diffusion sheet 8, and only the irradiation light limited with light-shielding seal 63 is passed through a condensing lens 6. The incident light to the condensing lens 6 is condensed in a lens part 61, and polarized in the center axis direction of a CCD camera 4 with a first polarization plane 51 and a second polarization plane 52 of a polarizing prism 5. Each LED light superposed at a predetermined focal distance forms irradiation light, and irradiated to a specimen 7. |
