PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to make special playing, such as harmonics method, even if a fingerboard section has no actual strings and sound production is executed by determining pitches by pitch switches. SOLUTION: A string system 13 detects that the strings disposed in a string striking section are struck. A fingerboard system 12 scans the pitch switches disposed in correspondence to the strings in the respective frets of the fingerboard section and detects the on and off of the first contacts which turn on according to prescribed pressing displacement quantity and second contacts which turn on according to the pressing displacement quantity larger than the prescribed pressing displacement quantity. A CPU 11 stores the detection data inputted from the string system 13 and the fingerboard system 12 in a RAM 15 and references the detection data. When the CPU decides that only the first contacts are on, the CPU reads the program of the harmonics method out of a ROM 14 and commands the sound production processing of the harmonics method to a sound source 16. |
