The ferry has steel cuboids all across its width below the car deck. These have a displacement equivalent to that of the ship fully laden. The side parts above the car deck also have steel cuboids, also of a displacement equal to that of the ship fully laden. The superstructure is above the side parts. Engines and propellers are controlled from a side part. This steel cuboids of the side parts are built into the hull. Each individual side part with cuboids has a displacement as great as that of the ferry.
