The arrangement includes a detector for sensing a sold-out condition of products stored and/or provided in a predetermined part of the vending machine. A failure detector senses an error condition of an internal load of the vending machine. A controller determines the sold-out condition of the products stored in the vending machine from a corresponding detection signal, and a condition "no sale" if an error or a failure of the internal loads of the vending machine occurs, through a detection signal from the failure detector. The controller generates a control signal for controlling an operation time for each load in the interior of the vending machine. A display part indicates the "no sale" condition according to a display control signal output of the control part. A power controller is provided for switching off an AC voltage supplied to one of the internal loads of the vending machine, in response to the control signal of the controller.
