Electric hair dryer with adjustable heat level

The hair dryer has an electric fan motor and a heating device with at least two independently controlled heating resistances (1,2). The control of the heating resistances is effected asynchronously using different time constants. The control of the resistance elements may be effected by comparing the actual temperature of the discharged air provided by a temperature sensor (3) with a required value provided by a temperature selection control (10), for switching triacs controlling the current through each heating resistance.
