Folding closing device for sliding roof

The closing device has a closing beam (7) transverse to direction of travel, fixed to a beam arm at either side of the vehicle. It also has a folding sheet with a frame mounting. The beam arm is pivoted by a moulded part (1) to a carriage (3) able to move along the frame mounting. A catching hook (5) may be attached like a lever to the moulded part. It may be locked to the carriage when the closing beam is in the raised position. A release lever (11) with running edge (12) can be pivoted, about turning point 8, to the carriage. With the roof folded, its running edge may come against a fixed stop (13) and unlock the catching hook.
