Method for digital differential demodulation

The method involves oversampling a received signal and producing a number of complex digital samples (Sk,i). Data are processed using the complex conjugate of the present and the previous sample to form a product. A weighted coefficient sum (P(k-1)) is then formed over a period of time for a set of samples. The real part of the sum is output (V(k-1)) to produce a decision sample which allows restoration of information in a range k. The process discriminates between trajectory paths of information.
