PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To gradually lessen the rigidity and buckling resistance of a tubular body from the base end 15 of a catheter 1 consisting of an inner layer tube 2 as an extremely fine flexible tube for inserting a guide wire into a central hole toward the front end 14 of the catheter. SOLUTION: The catheter is provided with an outer layer part 7 formed by winding a resin film 10 having a winding part 11 of an isosceles triangular shape to the outer periphery of the inner layer tube 2 by directing the base 13 of this triangular shape toward the axial direction of the inner layer tube 2. The intermediate position of the inner layer tube 2 having such outer layer part 7 is parted. The catheters 1A, 1B having such mechanical properties of the tubular bodies that the winding lamination layer thickness of the resin film 10 decreases gradually from the base ends 15 toward the front ends of the catheters and the degree of stiffening of the tubular bodies by winding of the resin film 10 gradually increases and decreases in the longitudinal direction of the tubular bodies are formed. |
