ARTIFICIAL MARBLE FITTED WITH CLOTH AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain artificial marble having a good quality feeling and a hard surface hard to damage by applying sheet like cloth of which the texture is larger than the average particle size of an inorg. filler to the outermost layer of syrup for artificial marble containing the inorg. filler to heat and polymerize the syrup. SOLUTION: Sheet like cloth of which the texture is larger than the average particle size of an inorg. filler is applied to the outermost layer of syrup for artificial marble containing an inorg. filler and heated in such a state that a part of the inorg. filler is exposed to the outside of the sheet like cloth to polymerize the syrup to integrate the sheet like cloth with the outermost layer of the syrup. Herein, heating is performed in such a state that the sheet like cloth of which the texture is 15μm or more is applied to the outermost layer of the syrup for artificial marble containing the inorg. filler with an average particle size of 15μm or more to polymerize the syrup. Further, the inorg. filler with the average particle size of below 15μm is added to methyl methacrylate of the syrup for the artificial marble. This artificial marble has a hard surface hard to damage and a novel design.
