PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing apparatus which can surely prevent an object to be recorded from being dirty by prohibiting a movement of a main body case in an opposite direction. SOLUTION: In printing, while a timing roller 21 is kept in touch with a surface of a recording paper 15, a main body case is moved in a print direction. The timing roller 21 is consequently rotated, and a recording head carries out predetermined printing. On the other hand, when the main body case is to be moved in an opposite direction to the print direction due to an erroneous manipulation, a one-way clutch mechanism 35 intermediately acts thereby to prohibit an inverse rotation of the timing roller 21, and accordingly the main body case is surely prevented from being moved to the opposite direction. |
